Celebrating teachers with a live Instagram awards show hosted by an education-promoting rapper.

For years, Box Tops for Education has supported schools and teachers across America. When distance learning made education more difficult than ever, we decided to shine a spotlight on teachers who were going above-and-beyond to keep students engaged and reward them for their efforts. 

For Teacher Appreciation Week, we partnered with Chance the Rapper to host the “Twilight Awards,” an award show honoring standout teachers. Taking place entirely on Instagram Live, the three-night event celebrated educators who showed dedication and creativity in the classroom. Thousands tuned in for the event, which featured live interviews and plenty of viewer interaction, giving the teachers the recognition they deserved. Better yet, we surprised each teacher with cash prizes for themselves and donations for their schools.
