Giving teachers extra credit at a time we appreciated them more than ever.

When COVID-19 left families facing the realities of distance learning, parents collectively recognized just how difficult – and important – the job of teacher truly is. So much so that many of them took to social media with their pleas for help and displays of gratitude.

We saw a natural opportunity for Box Tops for Education to celebrate educators and ask America to join us in doing so. Using found social footage from everyday people and influencers, we created an authentic, relatable :30 spot that encouraged viewers to #GiveExtraCredit. For each person that posted their appreciation for a teacher with the hashtag, Box Tops made a donation to Kids In Need’s Supply a Teacher program.
